Protect from the tsunamis

I protect myself against tsunami

To protect the population from the risk of tsunamis, the authorities monitor underwater earthquakes, which can cause tsunamis, using devices that detect abnormal movements of the oceans. Protecting coral reefs and mangroves is also essential, as they form natural barriers against waves.

What to do against a tsunami ?

In the event of a tsunami warning, it is strictly forbidden to go to the beach. You should also not take a boat out to sea.
At the first signs (the sea receding, rumbling from the sea, siren sounding): head for high ground as quickly as possible. Stay informed by radio and do not return to the water's edge without authorisation.
